Every organisation that comes to Diadem has a data problem nobody has fully solved for them yet. These are the kinds of problems we solve and how we solve them.
The following engagements reflect real projects delivered by Diadem Data and Analytics Services across Nigeria and internationally. Client identities are kept confidential in line with our data privacy commitments.
A development organisation came to us sitting on months of survey data from multiple field locations. The data existed. The problem was that nobody could make sense of it. Responses were inconsistent, formats clashed, and the team was making programme decisions based on instinct rather than evidence.
We went in and rebuilt the entire data collection process from the ground up. New survey forms in KoboToolbox with proper skip logic and validation rules so bad data could not enter the system in the first place. Then we cleaned what already existed, ran the analysis, and built dashboards that told the story clearly enough that anyone in the room, not just the data team, could understand what was happening in the field.
A programme implementation team was running field activities across multiple locations and drowning in it. Data came in through WhatsApp messages, paper forms, and phone calls. By the time anything was compiled it was already outdated. Nobody had a clear picture of what was happening where.
We designed a centralised monitoring system built around the programme's own indicators, not a generic template, but something built specifically for how their teams worked in the field. Standardised reporting formats, automated tracking, and a simple structure that field staff could actually use without a technical background.
A small agriculture organisation had been collecting data for years. They had spreadsheets going back several seasons. What they did not have was any way to turn that history into decisions. Every planning meeting ran on the instincts of whoever spoke loudest in the room.
We cleaned the existing datasets, identified the indicators that actually mattered for their work, and built interactive dashboards in Power BI that connected past performance to forward planning. We also ran Python scripts across the larger datasets to surface patterns that would have taken weeks to find manually.
Across multiple projects spanning social development, agriculture, and health, we have designed and deployed digital questionnaires for organisations that needed to collect sensitive, nuanced data at scale. The challenge is always the same. Surveys that look simple on paper become complicated fast when you factor in multiple languages, branching questions, offline deployment in areas with no internet, and field teams who need to move quickly.
We handle the full process. Designing the instrument, coding it in KoboToolbox with adaptive logic and validation rules that prevent bad entries before they happen, piloting it in the field, fixing what breaks, and training the teams who will use it. Clients hand us the research questions. We hand them back a tool that works.
Every engagement starts with a conversation. Tell us what you are working on and we will tell you honestly what we can do for you.
